In general, it is only suitable for spinning double ply yarn with low quality requirements. The guide roller is usually a pair of smooth round rollers. The lower roller is a section of 6-8 spindles, which is inlaid with the whole length. Each spindle of the upper roller is pressurized by its own weight and is driven by friction of the lower roller. There is a certain winding method for the ply yarn on the roller, so that there is a long enough friction arc between the yarn and the roller, so that the roller can deliver the yarn to the twisting area at a uniform speed. In some cases, two lower rollers or even two pairs of rollers are used on the special thick ply yarn or double twist twister to adapt to the high twisting tension and achieve the purpose of uniform yarn feeding. In the roller part, some twisters are equipped with automatic stop device for broken ends. In some twisters, there is a water trough under the yarn guide rod, and the water is applied before twisting the plied yarn, which is called wet twist twister. Wet twisted yarn has the advantages of high strength and smooth surface, but antirust materials should be used for roller and guide frame parts.
